POLISHED features identical plenum and runner designs to the Typhoon. The main difference is that there is an open area under the plenum chamber. This feature is sometimes called an air gap design. The air flowing under the plenum provides a cooler charge for the incoming air with less heat transfer from the engine. This cooler air charge provides additional power.

The bolt holes for the early LA cylinder heads are drilled about 8° off and will require modification and the use of socket head bolts for these applications. The bolt holes for Magnum cylinder head applications fit properly.
